My latest group
I just sang this past Monday, November 6, with a men's octet known as Sonoma Chanson. We had a brief gig at a senior center in Petaluma. As their website notes, this group was born from the ashes of the Sonoma County Men's Chorus. My wife Dana and I performed a couple of times with the Men's Chorus, who used to have an annual gig at the Gualala Arts Center (I sang and accompanied the Chorus while Dana conducted).
Bob Aicher, one of the leading members of the Chorus, and several other members decided to restart a men's singing group after the Chorus disbanded a few years ago, and Chanson has been singing together for the better part of two years now. Let Sonoma Chanson know if you are interested in having a group that sings traditional men's harmony in a wide variety of repertoire.
