Fall is filling up
Howdy...I'm going to have to backtrack at some point and talk about this past summer (gigs in June, travel to Alaska in August). But onward for now...
I'm working with 2 groups this term at Sonoma State University. On Tuesdays, I'm singing with the Chamber Singers (obviously, I'm not in the photo). They are performing a concert for St. Cecilia on November 18 and 19. This is a wide-ranging concert, with music from the Renaissance (Byrd's Sing Joyfully) through modern (the Britten Hymn to St. Cecilia). It is great repertoire!
I am accompanying the Wednesday SSU Honor Choir (I am pictured at the piano). They are doing an all-Vivaldi concert on December 16 and 17, at 2 different venues. It includes the Gloria (of course), but also his lesser-known Magnificat, Beatus Vir and In Exitu Israel.
I'm also helping with the music for a production of I Do! I Do!, taking place January 12-14 at the Raven Theater in Healdsburg. We'll be performing it with 2 piano/keyboards and drums.
That's what is keeping me busy just now. More news later...
