Lots of gigs...
The season has started for me.
I'm music directing a show for Hoochi-Doo Productions called Nunsense. The show opens Thanksgiving weekend and runs for the subsequent 2 weekends (through December 12). Check out the HDP website for info on this company and the show.
Every Tuesday, I'm working with the Santa Rosa Symphony Honor Choir (yes, that's my butt on the piano bench in the photo). We are preparing to perform Christopher Rouse's Karolju and Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms with the Santa Rosa Symphony in early December. This group is still looking for male singers, who are invited to come to Holy Family Church in Rohnert Park on Tuesday evenings in October if interested.
Every Wednesday, I'm singing with the Sonoma County Bach Choir, preparing for performances of the entire Handel's Messiah, front to back, to take place in mid-December. The concerts will be run-outs in Petaluma, Sebastopol and Windsor, and will feature a small orchestra drawn from the Santa Rosa Symphony.
I ostensibly have the rest of the week off, but I'm always picking up gigs, like playing for Duke's Place, a cabaret performance at Santa Rosa High School, on October 29 and 30.
That's it for now (that's enough for now, actually). Have a good holiday season, if I don't get back to this page sooner.
