          OK...me:

I grew up in Piedmont, CA, a somewhat upscale enclave in the East Bay, between Berkeley and Oakland. I was graduated from Stanford University in Music, and subsequently worked for the San Jose Symphony administration in various capacities for 10 years. I was also a semi-active pianist in the Peninsula and South Bay during the same time, mostly playing for community theater, choirs and new-age churches.

I met my wife, Dana, when she was a Masters candidate in Choral Conducting at San Jose State. After she finished her degree, she got a job teaching high school choir with the Santa Rosa City Schools district, and I followed her to the North Bay. We were married in December 2000.

At the same time that my wife was hired, the district was also looking for an IT manager. I had done a little computer work for the Symphony (Mac and PC consulting, and acting as computer operator on the Symphony's HP3000). Based on my (admittedly limited) background, Santa Rosa City Schools hired me as a system manager for their HP3000, which houses their student info system. Thus began my foray into full-time IT work.

After being between jobs recently, I'm now working as a contract marketing data analyst with Advanced Telcom Group (ATG) in Santa Rosa. ATG was recently acquired out of bankruptcy by GE, so I'm simultaneously working for an almost brand new company, and also for one of the largest corporations in the world.

I also play piano fairly actively in the North Bay, with a couple of theaters and with the music department at Sonoma State University, as well as occasionally playing for my wife's high school choirs. I'm available for a variety of gigs - get in touch with me via email.

There's my somewhat disorganized story. More later, I guess...
